Privacy notice
This notice explains which personal data is processed when you visit this website or send an enquiry. It describes only the functions actually in use.

2. Overview
This website is an information website without user accounts. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics, tracking, advertising or social-media services and embeds no content from third-party servers (no embedded maps, videos or external fonts). Fonts and all files are delivered from our own server. A consent banner is therefore not required.
3. Hosting and server logs
The website is operated by an external hosting provider (Hostinger International Ltd., Larnaca, Cyprus, or the group company responsible for our contract). A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place. When you visit the site, technically necessary connection data (IP address, date and time, requested address, amount of data transferred, browser identifier/user agent) is processed in server logs. This serves the secure and stable operation of the website.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and efficient operation). Retention follows the settings of the hosting provider. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, this happens only on the basis of an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses) under Art. 44 et seq. GDPR.
4. Enquiry via the contact form
If you use the contact form we process the data you enter in order to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, prepare an offer:
- Company, name and email address (required)
- Project (country and size), project stage and service needed (required)
- Data-room link and notes (optional)
- Your confirmation that you have read this privacy notice
The time of the enquiry and the website address it came from are also transmitted to us. The enquiry is delivered to us by email (SMTP) via our email service provider, acting as processor under Art. 28 GDPR. Enquiries are not stored permanently on the web server.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual steps at your request) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (handling business enquiries, preventing abuse). Enquiries that do not lead to a contract are deleted after 12 months at the latest. If a contract is concluded we keep the data for as long as needed to perform it and as statutory retention periods (e.g. under the German Commercial Code and Tax Code) require. Without the required details we cannot process your enquiry.
5. Abuse protection
To protect against automated requests and spam we use, without third-party services, a form field invisible to people (honeypot) and a time-limited count of submissions per IP address in the server’s working memory (rate limiting). The counter is not stored permanently and expires after a few minutes. No third-party captcha services are used.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in preventing abuse and protecting our systems).
6. Storage in your browser
This website sets no cookies and stores no information in your browser (no localStorage, no sessionStorage). There is no access to information stored on your device within the meaning of Section 25 TDDDG.
When you open the home page (without a language in the address) we forward you to the matching language version based on your browser’s language setting (Accept-Language header) and, if our hosting provider supplies it, the country of your IP address. This information is evaluated only at the moment of the request and is not stored. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (user-friendly presentation).
7. Contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone we process your details to handle the enquiry on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.
8. Industry news and external links
On the home page we show current industry news from public news sources (headline, source, date and link). They are retrieved by our server; your browser does not contact those sources for this, and no data about you is passed to them. When you click a news item or any other link you leave our website; the operators of the linked sites are responsible for data processing there.
We machine-translate headlines of foreign-language reports. For this our server sends only the publicly available headline (no data about you) to a translation service (by default MyMemory/Translated S.r.l., Italy; optionally DeepL SE, Germany). Your IP address or other user data is not transmitted.
9. Recipients
Recipients of your data are the people handling your enquiry at our company and our hosting and email providers as processors. Data is passed to other third parties only if we are legally obliged to or you have consented. There is no automated decision-making, including profiling.
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future. A message to the contact address above is sufficient to exercise your rights.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany, www.baden-wuerttemberg.datenschutz.de.

We update this notice when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
